Building resilience that empowers communities to thrive by resolving trauma.
LifeSpheres is a California 501(c)(3) Public Charity and a South African NPO.
Our Mission is to build resilience that empowers people to thrive by resolving trauma in peer-communities globally.
The Core Principle on which our mission is based: We honor the innate wisdom of all human beings and their ability to explore their own challenges and experiences within the context of their own culture and worldview and come to their own conclusions about them.
Our Vision, as an outcome of our work, is engaged and productive community members who have been able to put their trauma behind them and move on. Free of the devastating impacts of past trauma, with regained resilience, power of choice, and increased control over their lives, we envision people who have benefited from our programs contributing to overall community resilience and thus increasing the community’s ability to meet their challenges and help to build a world that works for all of Life’s Spheres.
Our Programs
-
PeerCommunity CoCare Program
Our PeerCommunity CoCare Program teaches individuals in traumatized communities how to help each other. The program is non-religious and non-medical. Within a structure and forum of safety they can tell and resolve their stories and thus bring about their mutual healing and the restoration of community resilience. The program has been designed for communities who need and want to rebuild and return to strength, health, self-determination, and successful self-reliance.

Program Facilitator Training
Our Program Facilitator Training is for those who want to join the movement to empower communities to overcome the impact of trauma and regain well-being and resilience. Learn what it takes to continue the program in your own community or how you can help us take the program to more communities who need and want it. This training is for individuals who want to help and for the staff of organizations who wish to partner with us to bring the program to the communities they serve.

Community Leadership Class
The Community Leadership Class (CLC) is a school-based project that is designed to support the social-emotional and learning needs of students. Through a series of life engagement exercises and relevant learning modules, students will engage with trauma-informed content and a community service project. The learning modules will help empower students to build personal skills around living in community, waging peace, and leaning in as leaders both in their schools and communities.
We subscribe to the ACEs Movement.
Join the movement to address, resolve, and reduce Averse Childhood Experiences globally.
