Building resilience that empowers communities to thrive by resolving trauma
Globally, unresolved trauma is the biggest threat to individuals and communities.
Unresolved Trauma is the Barrier to Wellbeing
Trauma that has not healed impacts all of us — our families, friends, coworkers, and communities. It's vital that we all recognize that trauma that has not been healed hinders personal wellbeing and meaningful connections in our families, communities, and organizations and is passed along to each succeeding generation..
More than 1 billion children—about half of the world’s children—experience violence each year, increasing their risk of long-term trauma-related issues.
Around 70% of adults worldwide have experienced a traumatic event, and exposure to trauma significantly increases the likelihood of developing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and anxiety disorders.
Adults who have experienced four or more ACEs are 12 times more likely to attempt suicide, experience addiction, or suffer from depression.
Trauma, including violence, displacement, and systemic oppression, can be biologically passed down through generations, influencing stress responses and mental health in future populations.
The estimated annual cost of child maltreatment-related trauma in the U.S. alone is $592 billion, surpassing the costs of cancer and heart disease.
Children who experience trauma are 2.5 times more likely to fail a grade, more likely to be suspended from school, and have higher dropout rates, affecting community stability and economic growth.

Our Programs
PeerCommunity CoCare Program
Our community program teaches people with life-experiences-in-common how to support each other’s healing. Non-religious and non-medical, it provides a safe space for sharing and resolving personal stories, fostering mutual healing and community resilience. By fostering strong peer connections, it empowers individuals to process adversity, develop personal strengths, and contribute to a culture of healing and mutual care. Participate in our program free of charge. What you provide to a successful program is your commitment to personal and community change.
Program Facilitator Training
Our Program Facilitator Training teaches those who wish to be on our team and work together with us to Turn the Tide of Trauma how to implement the PeerCommunity CoCare Program. Our Program Facilitators are empowered to help communities to work together to overcome trauma and regain their resilience. Learn how to implement the CoCare program in your community or assist us in reaching out to other communities in need.

We offer supplemental educational programs to schools, businesses and helping professionals:
